On behalf of Werder Bremen, BOHNEN PA examined the risks and chances of an engagement in Iran. Johannes Bohnen spoke about the results with the Weser Kurier. Our evaluation concludes that the Werder Bremen brand will not be damaged if the club proceeds sustainably and credibly. While there are risks involved, the economic benefits can be explored if the club at the same time contributes to opening up Iran and improving German-Iranian relations. In terms of international understanding, bridges could be built between the people of the two countries, for example through long-term civil society projects.
