Loring Sittler
Loring Sittler (72) managed the Generali Zukunftsfonds from 2008 to 2016 after various professional positions in political education, financial services and public relations. There, more than 300 non-profit projects, events and awards for civic engagement, especially of the elderly, were funded in the years from 2008-2016. He edited the two Generali Ageing Studies in 2013 and 2017. Since September 2016, he has been a retiree and freelance consultant on several non-profit projects as well as a speaker.
In 2004, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his many years of commitment to political education and especially in setting up the national competition Jugend debattiert (Youth Debates), and in 2014 he received the Otto Mühlschlegel Prize from the Robert Bosch Foundation for his services to the new image of ageing.
