Dr. Johannes Bohnen presented his concept of "Corporate Political Responsibility" (CPR) at the Peter Drucker Purpose Summit 2022.
Politics and administration should support the CPR topic and not regard it as a threat to their power. After all, the political system can be stabilized by companies if they commit themselves according to their abilities and strengths and accept the primacy of the political. Our democracy is under pressure primarily because it is lagging in global adaptation processes (climate change, energy supply, digitalization, internal and external security, etc.). Companies in this case are both problem amplifiers and integral parts of the solution. That is why politicians should proactively engage with business representatives and hold them accountable for making contributions that support the state and democracy.
